Sat inside and loved the old world log cabin charm. Would have been even better had fireplace been going but not right time of year. Food was excellent, especially the pot roast which was very tender and surprisingly complex in flavors. Service was outstanding and free hot bread and warmed butter started things off right.

What a superb pub! It literally feels like one is in the Cotswolds or similar. The food is excellent and the choice of beer and wine is as eclectic as such an establishment should be. The fish and chips, chicken pot pie and French dip are all wonderful. Beautiful chips (fries). We visited here on a recent 1700 mile road trip, that included diverting our return leg to pay a second visit. I 100% recommend!

After a morning of picking fruit at Hollin Farms (yesterday 7/3/24) we decided to try out nearby Hunters Head restaurant. Shannon at Hollin Farms raved about the fish n chips being her favorite. She was right. The cod was fresh and cooked to perfection. The chips were cooked and salted just as perfectly. The portion was filling. It even came with a tasty side of puree peas! We sat outside and it was beautiful! The server was attentive and kept our drinks filled. Certainly, was a home run!

Great meal in a unique atmosphere, our group of 4 had the BLT (2), fish & chips, and lobster salad. We also had peach sorbet served in a frozen peach, and an individual bundt cake with custard for dessert. The service was excellent, and will definitely stop back when we are in the area.

Wonderful experience from the moment we parked outside. The exterior is beautiful and as a bonus was nicely decorated for Halloween. Authentic interior decor experience worth coming. Food is delicious and we will for sure be back! We enjoyed every moment. There’s a dog friendly patio with seating outside if you want to bring your furry friend. Conveniently located about 30 minutes from Ashburn. We highly recommend!

Service was slow, but food was good. I do wish they used lamb instead of beef for their shepherd’s pie, otherwise I would have ordered it. Food is high quality, and the drinks selection is decent. Would love to see more ciders (especially British ones) on the menu. Loved the ambiance, as it reminded me of the pubs in the UK. I can imagine how cozy it must be in the colder months.

Stepping back into the 1790s is always enjoyable and made better enjoying a nice lunch; worth the drive. Food was very good and nicely presented. Service is a bit slow and very dependant on the individual server. The quiche was excellent and well presented. The chicken pot pie is very tasty and a generous portion. The shepard's pie was the best shepard's pie I have ever had in a restaurant (including in Scotland). It can be busy during lunch and dinner and sometimes parking is scarce.

The food is beautiful, fresh and light. The chicken pot pie is as good to look at as it is to eat. The French dip paired with the VA wine was exceptional. Great location and use of their outdoor space.
